Charles C Silcott formerly worked at Pohlman Buckboard Factory and long with the game company in Canneraville died of stomach cancer in Henderson Kentucky May 16 at age 62. He was a son of John and Eliza Silcott and brother of J B D and George Bilcott. He leaves a widow and two sons. He was born and raised here.

The Fifty-Second Ohio Sunday-School Convention met in Dayton June 6 to 8 at Memorial Hall with 1200 seating. An all-male adult bible class parade lasting 55 minutes featured 19 bands and constant singing, a memorable display for Day ton residents. Last Sunday the Odd Fellows and Daughters of Rebekah attended memorial services at the M E church and heard Rev Burdsall deliver an instructive sermon. At 2 PM Olive Branch placed flowers on deceased brothers graves, then at 4 PM Union and Odd Fellows cemeteries where all graves were strewn with flowers. The decoration services are impressive.

Rail car strikes cow near Mt. Washington
A C. C. G. & P. westbound car inbound to Cincinnati hit a cow on the track near Mt. Washington Sunday night. The derailment injured several passengers, with bones broken and numerous bruises, as the motorman failed to stop in time.
