Tax abatement meeting in Glen Este Ohio

Sales tax referendum signatures checked in Clermont County Ohio

Signatures for a proposed one half percent sales tax increase in Clermont County are being reviewed under Ohio law. The measure would raise total county sales tax to four and a half percent and could generate 600000 to 1 million dollars, with an average extra payment around 24 dollars per year. Officials note the process is unusual for referendums and requires informing vendors by June 30, 1979.

County budget work begins for 1980 plan

County budget work for fiscal year 1980 proceeds with current budget panel members Robert Jones Albert Hines and James Rymer reviewing expected general fund receipts. Security may cut CNEs radio hours at WCNE

WCNE at Clermont Northeastern High School may have hours reduced for the on air period. Officials note involvement of some students with the station and removal of musical instruments from part of the building for use on air. McConahay, a math teacher, reports a Federal Communications Commission filing. WCNE began broadcasting about ten years ago.
