A severe storm struck near Lindale last Saturday night as Mr Hooper Lindsey, his wife, and their child rode home from Mt. Pisgah. The horse bolted and the carriage was wrecked over a swollen bridge. Lindsey saved his wife and child from the flood, finding his wife unconscious and guiding them to safety before help arrived. The wife suffered a broken arm and broken clavicle, the child survived, and the horse escaped with injuries.
