Flags lined the village streets last Friday for Decoration Day ceremonies with the Clermont military band leading the G A R contingent. Veterans, Women's Relief Corps members, and citizens filled two cemeteries decorating sixty graves including John W. Robinson's. Commander A M Dimmitt led services at Robinson's grave before taps and the procession continued to the Odd Fellows Cemetery. crowds and distant visitors marked an unusually large turnout.

A veteran jurist with over thirty years on the bench, he was born in Lebanon January 27 1825 and began as a state treasurer clerk before joining the bar. He served on probate court, common pleas court, and the circuit court, earning a reputation for upright scholarship and gracious bearing. He was married January 23 1857 to Sarah Helle Clements and was buried in Lebanon after state courts adjourned in his honor.
