Former Courier Publisher Dies
Harry M. Tucker, former publisher and editor of The Clermont Courier, died of a cerebral hemorrhage on Tuesday May 21 in Cardiff California. He and his wife Clara had lived there seven years. Tucker, born in Dayton Ohio, had a long journalism career and in 1944 helped assume control of the Courier through stockholders due to wartime personnel shortages.

Publisher and journalist dies leaving family and legacy
A longtime editor and publisher who edited the paper until March 1946, when his stock was bought by Jerald B. Fortney, has died. He also led the Valley News Journal of Cleves and started the News Shopper and the Times Record of Aledo Il. He wrote for the San Dieguito Citizen and the San Diego Evening Tribune and served as advertising manager before retiring. He is survived by his wife Clara two daughters Jeanne Tucker and Lois Hopner a son Dr Thomas Tucker and seven grandchildren.
