Magnesium Tests On Three Ohio Farms
County Agent W. W. Hamilton with Aaron Baxter of Ohio State and Professor William P. Martin of Agronomy tested magnesium on state project No. 17 plots. They applied magnesium limestone calcium limestone and magnesium sulfate on replicated plots 1 to 100 acres. Greenhouse soils show deficiency and some lime products contain more magnesium. More magnesium boosted soybean root nodules in some areas. They will return after harvest.
