Clermont County reports 709 youths enrolled in wartime 4-H Club projects this year led by County Agent Ralph Lemon, up from 560 last year. The slate includes beef, dairy, pig, potato, poultry, rabbit, sheep, victory garden, clothing construction, conservation, and food preservation projects with numerous listed advisors assisting local 4-H efforts.

Clermont youths enjoy week at camp in Glendale
Major Siler of the Cincinnati Salvation Army Judge Orville Halbisch Clermont Probate Court Patrolman W J Ritchie Batavia police chief and Miss Frances Reese of the Child Welfare Board helped 70 Clermont youths spend a week at the Salvation Army camp in Glendale. Children needed only clothing and 16 red ration stamps for the entire week. No monetary charge was made. Transportation to and from camp was provided by volunteers in private cars.

Two ground crew sergeants from an Army Air Forces unit in Africa will receive Silver Stars on a NBC coast to coast program.
