Former Batavian Dies After Long Illness
Frank W. Spencer aged 79, a former Batavia resident, died at Christ Hospital Cincinnati after eight months of illness. A Clinton county native, he returned to Blanchester after leaving Clermont county. Funeral services were held in Blanchester with burial in Martinsville Cemetery. Masonic services were held prior. Surviving: widow Myrtle, son Carroll A. of Germantown, daughter Mrs. W. L. Crist of Ripley, and a brother Alonzo.

Fred B. Weaver, 66, longtime Amelia postmaster dating to Roosevelt’s first term, died at his home last Wednesday. A Spanish American War veteran, he leaves widow and three sons Norris of Hamlet, and Calvin and Floyd, both in the U.S. Army. Masonic services were conducted at T. P. White funeral home and Batavia cemetery.
