Robert DeBoard aged 17 of Monterey drowned Saturday afternoon near Pricetown Highland county while fishing with Leroy Contner and C A Bigam. Contner found the body and pulled it to shore. a Hillsboro doctor pronounced death by drowning with a heart attack as the verdict. Funeral set at St Louis Catholic church Owensville, burial there.

New Organization Formed for Wildlife Preservation
The Natural Resource Organization for wildlife preservation in Clermont County met at the Armory on Monday night with strong attendance. Roy E. Grand jury indicts twelve in Clermont County cases
Twelve indictments were returned after a two day session by the Clermont County grand jury. Foreman Charles Slade led the panel which examined about 30 witnesses and considered fifteen cases with one dismissed and two continued. Orville Shaver faces a manslaughter charge for a fatal June 6 fight in Pt. Pleasant. bond set at $1000. Other indictments include forgery, larceny, assault, housebreaking, non-support, and abandonment charges against multiple defendants.

Youth Is Sentenced for Fatal Route 125 Crash
Melberrt Bradford a 16 year old from Georgetown Ohio drove the auto that struck and killed B P Uncle Benny Vandament a former state representative on Route No 125 near Bethel. He was adjudged a juvenile delinquent and ordered to Lancaster Boys Industrial School for an indeterminate term. Bradford was arrested the day after the accident after authorities traced his identity through a Ripley garage. The crash damaged one headlight and the radiator grill and occurred at 4 a m as Vandament walked toward Hamersville.
