J W Kincaid Dies at Home in Mt Carmel
John W. Kincaid, 68, Batavia Motor Co. secretary treasurer and Mt Carmel school board clerk treasurer, died Friday after eight weeks of heart trouble. Funeral at Summerside M E Church, burial in Mt Moriah. He retired from C&O Rail Road in 1905 after 20 years as engineer and helped invent an automatic stoker. He leaves wife Harriet, son Earl Kincaid, deputy auditor of Clermont County, and two brothers.

Dale Pence of Laurel was seriously injured Monday morning when the car carrying Walter Barnes and Harry Idlett also of Laurel left the road and plunged down a 40 foot embankment between Laurel and Pt Pleasant. Coroner Sam White of Felicity said he was still investigating the death of Everett Greger a coal dealer who died from a revolver wound last Tuesday. Four Damage Suits Filed Over Batavia Crash
Four damage suits totaling 31,106 dollars are filed in common pleas court against Rayline Oestreich of Milwaukee related to a June 21 1936 Route 74 crash four miles east of Batavia. Plaintiffs include William M Calvin Newport Kentucky $6000 Henry E Scheffer Cincinnati $2250 John S Calvin Cincinnati $22500 and Laura Adler Cincinnati $356. Three autos were involved with John Calvin driving one and Fred Lamping of Williamsburg driving another. Lamping and all four plaintiffs were injured and the Calvin vehicle was demolished.
