Milford to get first natural gas service in Vermont County

Ground-breaking ceremony at Indian Knolls marks extension of gas line to Milford with officials, Chamber of Commerce members, and Cincinnati Gas and Electric Co. representatives present. Stuart G. Luginbuhl of Newtown was elected 2nd Vice State Commander at the Columbus Legion Convention. Lewis Wiggins of Milford became 4th District Commander, as the Milford Post earned the Edward McBane Trophy for outstanding community service. Southwest Ohio posts, including Clermont and Butler counties, celebrate this first top state post for the region in 20 years. Milford drill teams drew applause in the parade.

Banker Stricken By Heart Attack

Kenneth M. O Briant vice president of the First National Bank of Batavia suffered a heart attack at 6 am Tuesday at his home 267 Wood Street Batavia. He was attended by Dr Alvin Friedman and rushed to Jewish Hospital by the BMOP Life Squad where he is reported in fair condition.
