Clermont County girl Kay Ross may enter Miss America
Kay Ross 18 of Tabasco won Miss Cincinnati and will vie in Miss Ohio Aug 6-7 at Mansfield. If she wins, she becomes Ohio’s entry to Miss America in Atlantic City this September. Ross, valedictorian from Anderson High, has talents in jazz singing and dance and is pictured by Russell Shinkle.

The 110th Clermont County Fair launches August 18 with a record total of 19353.75 in premiums and purses, up 6753.75 from 1958. Events include horse shows, 4 H exhibits, speed programs, livestock judging, a junior fair, a grand parade, and various entertainment through August 22. Major fund allocations cover speed programs 8750, 4 H events 2930.5, and Junior Fair 2920.5 among others.

Owensville announces the annual Clermont County Farmer's Picnic at the county fair grounds from 10 am to 3 pm Saturday August 1.
