Clermont police chiefs urge tax to fund new jail
Thirteen of Clermont County’s sixteen police chiefs signed a petition asking commissioners to impose a piggyback sales tax to build and operate a new jail and criminal justice building. They say overcrowding and aging facilities affect operations and that some inmates have been sent to Adams and Hamilton counties. The group invites Commissioners to attend the next chiefs meeting on August 4 at 10 a.m. in Loveland.

Clermont County adopts county wide disaster plan
Clermont County unveils a county wide disaster plan praised by Disaster Services Coordinator Ken Conover as a step toward readiness.
