Clermont County Man Sees Trade Potential in Japan
Bob Lees of New Richmond Motel and Marina toured Japan last May as a recipient of an American Graduate Institute scholarship. He shared Clermont County’s Bicentennial film and an audience of about 150 in Tokyo, urged American firms to adapt products for Japanese markets, and argued that language and cultural gaps hinder trade but offer growth if addressed.

State school status does not affect Cincinnati students
The University of Cincinnati becomes a state school but Clermont General and Technical College students should see little change. Dean Edith Peters Jones says tuition rises are small and set by existing state and board of regents processes. Autumn quarter tuition is 240 dollars plus 50 dollar in-state fee. out-of-state 640 dollars. Civil service classifications replace prior pay scales by July 1.

County conducts soil erosion survey in Clermont County
Clermont County joins a national erosion inventory by the US Department of Agriculture Soil Conservation Service. Jon C. Warner states 39 representative areas will be sampled on-site. Field work runs July 6 to August 1 with data for Ohio due by May 1978. landowners may be contacted for information.
