Clermont County Recorder Kenneth A. Kahle reports a downturn in real estate activity for the first half of 1982. Deeds and mortgages declined from 1981 levels, with 1576 deeds and 1618 mortgages recorded, and financing statements falling to 1520. Dollar amounts for six months totaled 86.7 million versus 98.7 million in 1981, aided by new cash register records. Cancellations reached 1153, soldier discharges 23, and partnerships 24 in the period.
Great Rivers Girl Scout Council brings scouts from 34 states Mexico and Trinidad Tobago to Greater Cincinnati for two weeks of activities starting July. Ten local girls including Deborah Sears will participate, with a day at Old Coney and a cookout. The program includes water skiing at East Fork Lake and a visit to Rankin House in Ripley as part of Reds game and pony activities.

The group sponsors a polled hereford grand champion trophy and reserve halter at the Clermont County Fair, July 26.
