The Courier sponsors a photo contest with weekly selections to be published in the newspaper. Entries will be printed on the pages and displayed in a sealed Clermont envelope taped to a designated area.

Frederick A Hauck, Cincinnati philanthropist, named Officer of the Day for the 132nd Annual Feast of Beech Acres, to be held Sunday September 13 on the Beech Acres grounds at 6881 Beechmont Avenue. He will coordinate more than 1000 volunteers and officiate the day's events.
Stonelick State Park hosts weekly nature programs including snake talks slide shows and activities for youths. A naturalist aide program runs for 14 year olds with Appalachian Roots activities at 7 45 pm at the amphitheater.
