August Auguries at Batavia YWCA set for Aug 1

Batavia YWCA hosts the 13th August Auguries on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Main Street will feature arts crafts baked goods antiques and flea market items with entertainment at various times. Complaints Close Batavia Receiving Home Study Details

Fran Schwiermann reports on the proposed closure of the Children's Receiving Home at 204 N. Second Street Batavia and the lack of beds in nearby counties for abused and neglected children. Four juvenile cells remain, forcing older children into unsafe settings and younger ones into foster homes after delays. CECA treasurer Donald Sargent questions housing decisions and matching children to homes. Wolfe will present findings and program updates at the New Richmond CECA meeting.

Building board approves five suppliers at county sites

Five suppliers appointed to the county building board including Wayne C. Dunn, architect from Loveland, to oversee operation of the county building department. At the July 13 West Clermont School Board meeting treasurer Glen Lucas reported a 1982 budget of 15 675 000 showing a deficit caused mainly by cuts in the state foundation program. The article notes prior increases of 13 percent in 1979 and 5 percent in 1980, with continuation on page 2.

Insurance Credit Overpayments In County Vehicle Auction
