Wheat Growers Vote On July 23 In Clermont County
Clermont County wheat growers will vote July 23 at the Kahle Building Batavia to decide whether to continue marketing quotas for 1955. Two thirds must approve for quotas to take effect. In 1954 the measure passed 87 percent 390221 to 57536. Eligible voters include farmers with more than 15 acres of wheat. If approved penalties apply to excess wheat and price support is available for those inside quotas, while those outside receive 50 percent parity. Notices and leaflets go to growers July 5. Polls open 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. July 23.
