Mrs Mary Eppert Nash wife of A C Nash Batavia druggist died Friday afternoon at Good Samaritan hospital after a weeklong illness from malaria fever Funeral services were held at the Nash home on Spring Street Burial was in Mt Moriah cemetery She was active in Batavia M E Church The Eastern Star and Batavia Woman's Club Born near Locust Corner she was a lifelong Clermont County resident married in 1903 and survived by her husband daughter Martha Rasey six brothers and a sister Lena Guild

River Tragedy In Ohio River Drowns Cincinnati Man
Chester L Patton 24 of 459 Strater Ave Cincinnati drowned in the Ohio River at Nine Mile Friday night about 8 o'clock. His body recovered about 11 p m by Sheriff G G Auxier and Marshall Frank Perry of New Richmond. Patton and companions Milton Doss Frank Bernard and Wallace Bowlen were swimming when he disappeared. Coroner Sam White told the verdict was accidental drowning.
