Clermont County 4-H Members Attend Club Congress
Clermont County 4 H members Wanda Blevins and Ann Heke attended the Ohio Club Congress in Columbus June 13 to 16 along with more than 800 delegates from across the state. Blevins served as chief legislator in a mock session of the Ohio General Assembly as part of a week of workshops and program highlights at the three day event.

Dolphins win first league meet at summer event
The Bue Ash Y Blue Dolphin Swim Team defeated Gamble Nippert 386 to 253 to claim their first summer league meet win. Local swimmers earned ribbons with P. Gallenstein and Smithhisler taking multiple events in eight years and under group including medley and free-style relays, breast stroke, and back stroke.

Representatives of the Clermont County Youth Development Council recommended Gerald Salters for executive director. He is a Williamsburg native and former minister now teaching in a Dayton private school. Starting salary is 10000 dollars. grants will be sought from state and federal sources. Knothole Plans Rescheduled For Williamsburg Fourth of July
Bad weather moves the Williamsburg Knothole Association celebration to Saturday July 14 at 11 am. Activities run all day at the Elementary School fields with baseball and softball games across three parks, featuring village teams and players’ fathers. Booths offer refreshments and a flea market, with sandwiches and waffles. Fireworks close the day by the Williamsburg Volunteer Fire Department.

Felicity Fights For Free Phone Public Hearing Set in Ohio
The Public Utilities Commission of Ohio will hold a public hearing July 17 at 9 a.m. in Felicity High School to discuss toll free service between Felicity Bethel and New Richmond. James C. Gold Rush At Glen Este Speedway on July 15
A Modern Gold Rush adds to Glen Este Speedway Sunday night with promoter Fran Rapp spreading 100 dollars in pennies on the track for youngsters 52 inches and under. The program includes 10 stock car and figure races starting at 5 30. Time trials begin at 7 pm. The venue is Tealtown Road one mile east of Glen Este.
