First Warrant Served Under Sewage Rules in Batavia

Batavia police report the first warrant under the village sewage ordinance was served on Grace Ann Dietz 46 of Perintown charging failure to connect to the Batavia sewer system. She owns property on South Water Street and faces arraignment before Mayor J F Paschal Friday at 11 a.m. Penalty for violation is a daily fine of 10 to 50 dollars.

Rehearsal Set for July Festival in Batavia

Pomona lecturer Tillie Atchley announced a rehearsal for the accordion ensemble on Monday July 15 at 8 15 p.m. at Batavia EUB Church. The Festival of Churches is July 22 from 3 30 to 5 p.m. at Owensville fair grounds with attendees invited.

Anna Louise Kramer former Batavia teacher died early Monday at Christ Hospital Cincinnati. Services were held at First Presbyterian Church with funeral arrangements by W. S. Moore and Sons. Survived by husband Elmer Clermont County educator, daughter Mary Ruth two sons John and Charles and sister Mrs Franklin H Roberts Bucyrus.
