Woman Fatally Hurt in Route 28 Fourth of July Crash
A head on collision on Route 28 five miles east of Milford left Thelma Wright 43 dead from skull fracture and internal injuries. Her husband Robert Wright 44 and their daughter Winifred Wright 18 were treated with minor injuries along with passenger Thomas Rhode 22. The truck driver Gordon Russell Loveland stopped to open a driveway gate when struck by the Wright car.
