Bethel Baptist to Dedicate New Baldwin Organ

VFW Auxiliary at New Richmond to be Instituted

The Auxiliary of the Ohio Valley VFW Post 6770 of New Richmond will be instituted Sunday afternoon July 13 with an installation at 3 p m. Woman Fatally Hurt in Route 28 Fourth of July Crash

A head on collision on Route 28 five miles east of Milford left Thelma Wright 43 dead from skull fracture and internal injuries. Her husband Robert Wright 44 and their daughter Winifred Wright 18 were treated with minor injuries along with passenger Thomas Rhode 22. The truck driver Gordon Russell Loveland stopped to open a driveway gate when struck by the Wright car. Also note July 3 marriage of James Barnett 19 to Geneva Wood 18 in Batavia conducted by Mayor A C Munden.

Health Commissioner of Clermont Dr. D. R. Colburn a former county official from September 8 1928 to May 1935 was arrested near Patterson Field on a narcotics charge He lived in Osborne and had been employed as a civilian physician at the field accused of selling narcotic drugs in quantity to persons outside the reservation gate

On or about August 1 Tom Pancher owner of Pancher's Dot Food Store will open a Western Auto Associate Store in Batavia. Remodeling is under way of the former Batavia 5c to $1 Store storeroom. The Western Auto Store will offer sports equipment auto accessories and related items with Cincinnati prices kept. Mrs Pancher will run the Dot Food Store and Mr Pancher will manage the new store which will include a 70 foot display room and rear service department for oil tires and batteries.
