Fire torn through the Ohio Valley Egg Cooperative on US 50 Milford early Sunday, destroying the building and its contents worth about 150000 dollars. Milford Terrace Park and Miamiville fire crews fought the blaze, kept nearby structures from burning, and traffic on US 50 was disrupted for hours. The firm’s president is Ralph Vorhiss of Mason Ohio and L G Mullett of Milford serves as general manager. An investigation into the cause is underway and a board meeting will decide the future of the Milford business.

Library Appeals Win Yields $12,000 More for County
The State Board of Tax Appeals on Monday allowed $64,075 from the 1959 estimated classified property tax to the county library trustees for operation. Trustees had sought $75,359 to fund a walk-in public service and branch libraries at Batavia and Milford. The budget commission had earmarked $52,375 for the library.
