The Agricultural Department of the Clermont County Cooperative Extension runs a comprehensive telephone help line addressing lawn garden energy house plants insects pests wildlife livestock ponds and more. From Jan 1980 to Jan 1981 the service answered 1544 calls with a breakdown of topics and a miscellaneous category for low count subjects.
County Extension Agent reports strong attendance at events in Clermont County tied to the Southwestern Fruit Growers School Area Outdoor Vegetable Growers and Area Sheep School of the Tri-State Dairy Workshop. Two livestock meetings were held in April and December at Bellar's Sheep Farm Goshen and Long Branch Farm Goshen observing live animals and cow pregnancy stages.
