Earl Ridings 62 former secretary of the Union Building Savings and Loan Co Loveland is set for arraignment January 31. Indicted by Clermont County Grand Jury on embezzling 53000 and false entries. Ridings, vacationing in Miami, agreed to return voluntarily to face charges.

Man Pays Fine for Theft of Coon Dog

Man Found Asleep In Yards Near Batavia
Albert King of Maysville spent a night in the Batavia jail after being found sleeping in a front yard near Chile. Deputy Sheriff Frank Hutchinson brought him in after he tried to enter a residence seeking warmth. He claimed the money he had left at a Ripley cafe was later found by another man posing as a friend of Baker. Baker paid a $25 fine and costs after a Mayor Munden trial and returned to Maysville.

Amelia Team Wins Again in Series of Games
The Amelia basketball team defeated the Anderson Redskins 49 to 40 on Tuesday, beat Owensville 53 to 45 last Friday, and won 57 to 51 over Goshen on Wednesday. Francis led with 14 points, Braam and White 13 each. White scored 17 in the Goshen game and Braam 16. Amelia beat Batavia 52 to 37, while Batavia reserves won 30 to 22 over Amelia reserves, as Amelia remains 19-2 at home.
