Fox Drives Draw Big Crowds in Stonelick Township
Residents turn out en masse for fox drives with lines at 9 a.m. on Saturdays. At Kline farm above Owensville two foxes were caught, five escaped, one man bitten, and the two foxes sold for 20.50 dollars deposited to Fox Fund for a future township supper. A second drive is planned next Saturday with about 1000 people expected, centered at Galley Hill and spanning from Stonelick to Perintown and Rose Hill Avenue, with no guns or dogs allowed.

Brown County commissioners awarded the reward for capturing William Henry Wilson who killed Sheriff Kellum. Fatal Railroad Crossing Accident In Winchester

Norwood beat the Home Guard 41 to 8 at the Armory in a fast Saturday night contest witnessed by a very small crowd. Batavia High School defeated Owensville 29 to 16 in boys action while the girls fell 20 to 10. Bishop Henderson spoke in Hillsboro noting one tenth of the Metho- dist world membership is in Ohio after a four week stay in the Hill District.

Tire theft hits county auditor’s car in home garage
County Auditor Robert Eveland reported his automobile tires stolen Tuesday night while his car rested in the home garage at Miamiville. He awoke Wednesday to find the car missing a tire and no old tires left behind. The note warns tire thefts are rising and insurance will pay.

The Milford Board of Public Affairs raises water rates to 25 and 271.2 cents per 1000 gallons with a $1.00 minimum. Inside district charges 26 cents and outside 27 cents per thousand gallons, with a 10 percent delinquency charge and a high delinquency rate expected monthly.

Missouri Sheriff N absconds with Mount Car suspect in Kentucky auto theft
Deputy Sheriff Carl Dawson arrested Lawrence Pool in Clayton Missouri on a charge of removing a mortgaged automobile from Kentucky without permission. Pool claimed ignorance and was bound over to the grand jury after a hearing before Mayor Larkin. The auto was left in Clayton under Pool’s care. Pool has a wife and child. Pool traded on December 9 and left for the west.

Guilty of Assault in Clermont County Court
State of Ohio v Delmer Jester concluded with a verdict of assault and battery after six hours of jury deliberation in the Common Pleas Court Monday and Tuesday. Delmer Waits and Delmer Jester, Williamsburg relatives, face a $200 fine and six months in jail. 57 witnesses were subpoenaed and the courtroom was crowded.
