A 20 week TV series Operation Alphabet begins Feb 4 to help 61 000 functional illiterates in Cincinnati and surrounding areas learn reading and writing. WCPO TV Channel 9 airs 7 to 730 a m Monday through Friday as a public service. The effort is co sponsored by the community.

Nobis Awarded 30000 in Clermont Court Fight
Paul M. Nobis of New Richmond won a 30000 verdict against Cincinnati Gas and Electric in Clermont County Common Pleas Court. Car Hits Child On Rt 222 In Mishap
Billie Virgil Davis nine year old son of Mr and Mrs Virgil Davis Rt 222 suffered a left leg fracture Friday morning when a car hit him as he darted across Rt 222 near Rt 125 to catch a school bus. He was taken to Brown County Hospital Georgetown. Betty J Lamons 26 of 3527 Ohio 222 driver of the accident car was not cited. Witnesses told Deputy Sheriff Ankrom they saw the boy run in front of the car.
