West Clermont Board adopts revised tentative budget amid dispute
Amelia The West Clermont school board rescinded a prior resolution objected to by member Chris Rosenhoffer, then adopted a revised version. The board approved a tentative 1965 budget of 3 261 474 with allocations for wages bus drivers janitors and administration and authorized a 240 000 loan from Amelia State Bank to cover February payroll and retire a 100 000 debt. Frank Hackney Jr USN husband of Jacqualine Beach participated in Medlandex 1-65 amphibious exercise aboard USS Arcturus off Sardinia to train Marine and fleet units in full scale operations.

Clermont Northeastern approves 765 495 general fund
At its first regular meeting of the year the Clermont Northeastern Board of Education approved a General Fund appropriation of 765 495, up from 735 129 last year.
