At a Clermont County meeting in Batavia the County Defense Council organized a defense board led by Manly Hill. The advisory roster lists officers from Batavia Milford Williamsburg New Richmond and Goshen with agencies including Police Fire Sheriff Health and Public Works. Clermont Grange No. 2377 installed its 1942 officers on January 13 led by Master Harold Dumford. Officers include Ruth Williams lecturer, Alice Dumford secretary, and Ruth Williams as lecturer.
