Clermont County Commissioners Lease Burley Tobacco Quota
At the January 13 meeting Clermont County commissioners accepted bids for the 4998 pound burley tobacco quota lease tied between Henry Debell and James Jennings both bidding $2000. Four farmers bid total with Wehrum and Napier as other bidders. Annexation of 215 acres in Union Township to Milford was approved with a hearing likely in April.

Pattison commends the Multi Agency Narcotics Unit for a strong first year in Clermont County. From Sept 15 to Dec 31 1982 the unit filed 168 charges and seized drugs valued at about 48602 with purchases totaling 9379.60.
