Two More Enter Race For Sheriff
Clermont County sees new entrants in the sheriff race. Republican Donald Crank and Democrat Gerald Tingle join a field that already includes Sheriff Donald Watson, Batavia Police Chief N C Ward, and ex policeman Richard Shaklin. Tingle, 31, longtime New Richmond resident and patrolman, also serves in the fire department and life squad with a nurse wife. Clermont College Opens With Open-Door Policy In 1972
UC’s Clermont General and Technical College will begin in 1972 with a two year program offering 15 associate degrees. The campus near Batavia will admit all area high school graduates from Clermont Brown and Hamilton counties. Phase One supports 1,000 students this fall and a 65 acre site overlooks the Little Miami River valley.
