Community Meeting Draws Attendance at School Auditorium
Last Thursday night the school auditorium hosted a well attended community meeting with a school play by six scholars and performances by three young girls. Judge Joseph was elected president with L F Walker resigning as vice president. Supt Marlowe and Principal Jordan spoke on education. The lunch was popular and the mite box well filled. several new members joined the group as interest grows.

Veteran Andrew Spetz dies after long illness in Batavia
Andrew Spetz of Batavia township died Wednesday at home on the Boston Pike after a long illness. He leaves two sons and two daughters. Funeral services were held Friday morning conducted by Rev. Smith, with burial in Union Cemetery. The Civil War veterans are rapidly passing.

Hamilton undertakers plan legal contest over burial ban
