Sixth Annual President's Birthday Ball Tickets On Sale
Tickets for Batavia's Sixth Annual President's Birthday Ball on Saturday January 28 in the Armory are on sale at $1 per couple or $1 for a single. The Campus Owl's orchestra from Miami University will perform with a 45 minute Floor Show by Pep Golden Studios. A March of Dimes campaign offers participation for those not attending the Ball, via red and blue dime buttons.

Williamsburg Farmers and Merchants Bank named J B Dover president and W E Laycock cashier. New Richmond Building and Loan elected Dr W H Gaskins head with W R Frye as First Vice President. Batavia Building & Loan officers include Thomas Keen president and G R Wilke VP. Batavia First National Bank re-elected H A Hodges as president and J Huntington as cashier. Federal WPA road project approved for Clermont County
Federal approval announced for a $518 752 road program in Clermont County to be completed in 18 months ending July 1940. County share $97 195 with WPA funding $421 557. Plan covers 60 miles of roads including grading drainage surfacing and retaining walls. Licensing for dogs due January 20 with a $1 penalty after that date.
