County to tackle Ohio 28 traffic woes in Milford area

Clermont County commissioners moved to treat Ohio 28 traffic problems as a top-priority issue. The three part motion adopts the KZF Inc study as county planning guidance and urges long-range solutions including planning amendments to extend through Goshen and cover other major highways. Public officials and township trustees seek ODOT help and funding to place the project on regional priority lists.

Ex-business owner denies guilt in theft

Richard Helferich, former Uni-Dyne Electric president, entered a not guilty plea after being indicted by Clermont County Grand Jury on four counts of grand theft tied to a September 1982 fire at his Union Township business. He turned himself in after Christmas, was arraigned, and released on his own recognizance. A preliminary hearing occurred with no trial date set.

Anderson Township man freed on recognizance after murder hearing

Kevin Thomas Lockard, 19, of Anderson Township, charged last week with murder in the death of Ovidio C. Diaz, 48, Felicity, at Big A's Tavern. He was released on his own recognizance after a preliminary hearing, drawing criticism from Clermont County Prosecutor George Pattison who says someone charged with murder should not be released on signature alone. Autopsy pending at Hamilton County lab as investigation continues.
