They are found by a relative and instructed to return home. As the sun sets they decide to give up the journey and return to Batavia arriving after dusk. They are glad to be home.

Miss Pauline Nichols wed Osborne Booth of Hinton West Virginia on Monday evening January 6 1914 at the home of the bride’s parents Frank and Mrs Binkley in Portsmouth. Rev Dunning officiated and a luncheon followed. The couple departed that night for Newark to begin their life together.

Poorly Attended Meeting Forms Clermont Fish and Game Group
Citizens of Clermont county gathered at Batavia last Saturday to form a fish and game protection group. About 100 attended and J B Sackett, the State game warden, tried to organize but interest was weak. Other counties have active societies with dues and stock fish and partridges supplied by the State. Some locals already belong to a similar Cincinnati group.

Editor Samuel Burrell Dies at 92 in West Union
Samuel Burrell, the oldest editor in this section, died at his West Union home aged 92 after a long career starting at age 15. He was well known among district newspaper men for his decades in the office. Lloyd Wester of Bethel, long in charge of the C. and P. Traction electrical department, is promoted to superintendent to replace Kiner, who moves to another firm. The promotion is seen as well deserved by many friends.
