Father of Town Clerk Passes in Cincinnati
Rudolph Majoron died Monday afternoon at his son Ralph Majoewsky’s home. He would have turned 85 in February and had retired since 1937. He came to America from Germany in 1881 and worked in Cincinnati then Columbia and St. Louis. Surviving are two daughters Mrs. Charles Atwood Lerado Ohio and Mrs. Alice Afsprung near Los Angeles along with grandchildren Thomas Eaton Atwood Lerado and Mrs. James W.

Christmas Sales Decline In Clermont 1943
Clermont residents finished Christmas buying early as the Batavia post office reported holiday business nearly cleared ahead of schedule. Don Het and local shoppers kept a tally of shopping days but overall Clermont merchandise sales in 1943 did not match 1942. Sales tax receipts up to Christmas were 90,759 dollars versus 98,137 dollars in 1942.
