Calv in Lewis a four year zoning inspector and World War II Navy veteran is appointed to Batavia Township board to fill the unexpired term of Harold Bissantz. He will be replaced by Roger Coombs as zoning inspector while remaining a deputy sheriff. Lewis and his wife Grace reside in East Batavia Heights with daughters Cindy and Annette.

Milford man overcome by gas at Albers Store

Harry Tiemiey er, 26, an Albers Store employee at Milford Shopping Center, was overcome by gas while stocking shelves early Friday. Milford police report he was treated at Our Lady of Mercy Hospital after being taken there by the Milford Life Squad.

Amelia Bank Declares Regular Extra Dividend

The Amelia State Bank board declares an extra 50¢ per share dividend for 1968, plus the usual 25¢ semiannual payout. Banking growth from under 1 million dollars in 1952 to about 3.5 million in 1968 accompanies higher earnings, and the bank shifts to a quarterly 25¢ per share dividend. Directors listed: John C. Philip Gatch of Milford has been named President of the Board of The Citizens Bank of Felicity Ohio after a directors' meeting. Health Board Ends Demarais Services

Clermont County Board of Health has terminated Dr. Francis E. Demarais as health commissioner after a tenure since last March. Demarais now is a patient in a Cincinnati hospital. The board considers sharing a health commissioner with a neighboring county and pro rating costs to improve public service amid staff shortages.
