County commissioners authorize Manager Harlan Mace to pursue a federal grant covering half of a proposed 375000 expansion of the PUB water system. Postal Official Charges Man With Tampering At Post Office

Henry W. Meyer of 3881 Banks Rd Williamsville Minnesota faces charges for tampering with a canceling machine at the Cincinnati Post Office Annex. He allegedly changed a postmark to aid a Gulf Oil Corp football contest entry submitted by Charles W. Penderston. The altered date created a 41-8 guess for a 41-7 actual score, tying to win 300 gallons of gasoline.

Woman 58 Held On Fraud Charge In Ohio

Miss Genevieve J. Wirthlin, 58, formerly of Batavia, is charged with obtaining funds by misrepresentation after admitting signing her deceased father Joseph’s name to Workmen's Compensation checks. She cashed 81 checks totaling 3200 dollars at Kroger stores in Clermont and Hamilton Counties. A Thursday hearing is set as she seeks weekly restitution to Kroger.

Two Milford Auto Accidents Linked to Reckless Driving

In the first hours of 1963 two accidents on Main St Milford were blamed on reckless operation. Paul Richard Bryant 31 crossed to the left at Main and Sycamore striking an unoccupied Frambes car pushing it onto Memorial Park. Bryant had a slight cut and was cited. A second late night crash on Maine and Maple involved James E McShane 437-4913 Linda Ave Norwood whose car hit a tree causing head and face injuries and he was treated at Our Lady of Mercy Hospital. McShane was charged with reckless operation.

County officials face deficits after approving a large child care tab. Milford Man Retires After 38 Years With CGE

Joseph L. Bates, 769 Forest Avenue, retires from Cincinnati Gas and Electric after 38 years as Senior Sales Representative in Rural Sales. A gathering at the Fourth and Main offices on December 28 honored him. Bates and wife have four children, with three residing in Milford and the fourth in Arcanum Ohio.
