A 9 lb 4 oz boy born January 2 at 4 37 am at Our Lady of Mercy Hospital is the first child of Leon and Gail Scheuer Moore of Clermont County. The hospital discharge plans include a new Ford from A P Motors. Twenty seven Clermont County merchants sponsor gifts and perks from Rosenzweigs to Sprague Cleaners, with many local businesses adding presents for the family and baby. The newborn’s name is Corbin Lee Moore.

Watson Seeks State GOP Committee Post

John L. Watson of Williamsburg seeks the Ohio Republican Central Committeeman post from the Sixth District. Watson, chairman of Clermont County Republican Party and county Board of Elections director, is Williamsburg Village Solicitor and maintains Batavia offices. He was the first to file a petition for the office.

Nichols Re-elected Board President in Batavia

Hugh L. Nichols II was reelected to a second term as president of the Batavia Board of Education. Larry Walker named vice president at the organizational meeting in Batavia High School. New trustees Kenneth Anstaett and Joseph Remley Jr. sworn in. Regular meetings set for the second Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. in the high school conference room.

Services Held For Ford Critchell Sr.

Funeral services for Ford B. Critchell Sr. of Milford were held at St. Thomas Episcopal Church Terrace Park. The lifelong lumberman and Milford Batavia business leader died Friday after a stroke on the golf course. Memorials may go to the Critchell Memorial Fund at Terrace Park Country Club.

Bethel Man Charged In Stabbing Death

Elmer D. Wynn of Bethel postures on $15 000 bond after being charged with second degree murder in the stabbing death of Jackie Morgan of Felicity at a Clermont County party in Laurel. The stabbing occurred about 3 am Saturday after several arguments among guests. Morgan died en route to a Cincinnati hospital after a friend drove him to New Richmond police station. Judge Chris Erhardt set the bond.
