Men Who Victimized Local Store Owners Jailed In Kentucky
Lloyd Insperger and Henry Holcomb of Newport Kentucky identified as shop lifters who stole merchandise from three county merchants and a Fayetteville businessman during Christmas week. They are held in Bracken County jail on grand larceny charges. Sheriff Clyde Dericks and James Thaever traveled to Kentucky where a theft victim identified the prisoners. The alleged thefts include an electric iron from a Mt Carmel hardware and a radio and clock from Owensville stores, with nearly $100 in merchandise stolen from a Fayetteville hardware.

Postal Rate Rise Delays Batavia Post Office Cards
Postal rates rose from one to two cents this week but Batavia post office has no two cent cards yet. Until arrival, locals must use one cent cards with an extra stamp. Hillsboro Judge to Hear Clermont County Dump Dispute
Judge George W. McDowell of Hillsboro will hear the Clermont County dump dispute after Judge Harry Britton recused himself. The case stems from the Clermont County Board of Health ordering Claude Jackson to close the Rumpke Road dump as a public health menace.
