Cler mont and nearby counties send 62 youths by chartered bus to Cleveland for a national Methodist Youth Conference. More than 10 000 youths attend with 1000 chaperones and meetings in the public auditorium. Notables include E Stanley Jones Bishops Kern and McGhee and tenor Roland Hayes. Local court notes show Julian Loudermilk fined 100 dollars plus costs with 50 suspended for drunk driving after a head on crash at Mulberry. Other incidents include a cafe fight and property damage settled out of court, a bus stop violation fine, a Route 50 crash with guard rail damage, and disorderly conduct cases filed in Batavia and Utopia. Deputy Marvin Bissantz led accident investigations.

Farmers in Warren Clinton Highland Brown Butler Clermont and Hamilton counties now own 55.3 percent of the Lebanon Production Credit Association after a $25,000 retirement to the Production Credit Corporation in Louisville. Runaway Car Triggers Fire at Milford Station
A runaway automobile rolled from a driveway at the Brown and Van Frank oil station on Wooster Pike and struck a gasoline pump, sparking a blaze that firemen later extinguished. Attendants prevented spread until responders arrived. the pump was demolished and vehicle damage was minor. The owner, Mrs. E. D. Gade, was not in the car.

Auto collision claims two local men in Ohio incident
A Friday morning icy highway crash east of Newtown killed Reuben Cropper of Amelia and seriously injured another driver, Clarence Jones of Batavia. Cropper died at Our Lady of Mercy Hospital in Mariemont. Jones died later at Bethesda Hospital Cincinnati. James Pope of Amelia, driver of the other car, suffered facial and hand cuts. Services and burials followed in Mt Washington and Erlanger for Cropper and Jones respectively.

A stray bullet from a .32 revolver struck Edwina Gardner, 14, in the right hip while at her parents’ home near the Williamsburg dam. The bullet passed through a door before hitting her. her injuries were not serious. Mayor Danbury asked Sheriff Dericks to investigate.
