Three Boys Hurt in Saturday Rt 133 Mishap
Bethel three local youths were injured Saturday night when the automobile they rode in lost control on Route 133 north of Bethel, struck a bridge and rolled down an embankment. Driver James W. Smith, 21, of Charity Street, suffered a possible skull fracture and cuts and bruises. he is in critical condition at Christ Hospital. Raymond Sexton, 20, and Thomas Schneider, 16, were also taken to Christ Hospital with back and hand injuries and leg fractures, respectively. Schneider was a hitchhiker picked up shortly before the crash.

Tickets At Door For Guild Play At St Batavia School
Tickets will be available at the door for tonight's benefit performance of Night of January 16th by the Ohio Valley Theatre Guild to raise money for Clermont County retarded children. The 8:30 p.m. show at St Batavia School features Batavia actors Culford Baker and Carol Long with a 24 member guild cast and a prize sewing machine donated by The Courier as door prize valued at 269 dollars.

Man Bound Over In Shooting Case At Chile Cafe

Authorities pursue Roy L. Schuler 43 of Bethel Rt. 2 after a gunpoint kidnapping at a Williamsburg traffic light. The suspect forced him into a car, drove toward Bethel, where it bogged in mud near the elementary school. Schuler reports the man fired two shots into the windshield.
