Judge Plans Suit On Petitions For Justice Post
Judge Louis J. Schwartz of Clermont County seeks a mandamus in the Ohio Supreme Court to force certification of his nominating petitions for the Supreme Court justice seat. His 53 county petitions with 1900 signatures were rejected for notarization by three different persons and insufficient supporting signatures per notarization. Only 828 signatures from 32 counties were deemed valid, below the 1000-signature minimum for filing for justice of the Supreme Court. The term sought ends December 31, 1966.
