The notice states weekly publication by A.M. Gest and L.D. Morris with subscription terms of one dollar seventy five cents yearly in advance, two dollars if paid within the year, and two dollars fifty cents if not paid until year end, followed by a note on usual advertisement rates.
Synopsis of the Clermont County Association of Teachers met at the M E Church in Ametta on January 31 1846 with reports on higher branches seminaries normal schools and better teacher salaries. Addresses exhortations on education and governance followed. Members discussed corporal punishment and next meeting topics while praising Superintendent Awl and noting the asylum reports and schoolhouse plans.
Proceedings record the association thanking Amelia M. E. Church trustees and editors for publishing past proceedings. They resolve to request continued publication and adjourn to meet at Amelia on the last Saturday in April. signed by WM. T. Parker, President, J. J. Hooxer, Secretary.
