MT. CARMEL Clermont District crowns 13 year old Gary Clemons of Mt. Carmel Troop 464 as Eagle Scout in under two and a half years. He earned 24 merit badges and led scout tasks while serving as patrol leader and troop scribe. Gary, an Amelia Jr. high eighth grader, hopes to be a veterinarian. He attends Summerside Methodist Church MYF and YMCA and played on Clermont County Knothole teams.

Joint services were held for Richard L. Seibert 17 of Perintown and Gary A. Jackson 18 of Stonelick injured fatally in a Wednesday night traffic accident west of Owensville. Requiem high mass was offered on February 11 at St. Philomena Church. Craver funeral home Milford conducted arrangements. Seibert was son of Mrs. and Mrs. Lawrence Seibert and grandson of Lawrence and Josephine Stempley Seibert. He also survived by sister Carolyn Jackson and other relatives from Milford and Dayton.

State Auditor James A. Rhodes announced the first 1961 distribution of gasoline excise taxes totaling 3,047,239.80 to cities and villages, to be paid February 15.
