At Milford American Legion Hall on February 15 at 8 pm the Clermont Republican Club will host Lukens as the featured speaker during its monthly meeting. The event offers members a chance to hear remarks and participate in community discourse.

The landfill dispute stems from citizen protests over accepting potentially harmful materials.

Proposed budget lists allocations to Agriculture Extension Senior Services Recreation Soil and Water Conservation Clermont Association for the Physically Handicapped Mental Health Clermont Fair Board and other programs totaling 381 356.
County officials note salt and maintenance costs for 400 miles of roads run high. Carter cites about 300 000 so far this season for ice and snow, with total potential costs reaching 350 000 to 400 000. The county uses 13 trucks across 13 salting territories and last year hired outside contractors.
