The Georgetown Democrat reports the Board of Public Affairs annual results showing electricity receipts of 5226.18 and expenses of 6017.50, a deficit of 791.32 due to day service installation funded from plant receipts. Costs included a Sunshine switchboard generator and wiring. Since day service, many new customers joined. town lighting revenue from streets and public buildings remains unpaid. Batavia may pay about 1200 annually for street lighting.

Preacher Released From Jail After Promise to Work
Rev. Tolle of the Holy Roller church in Ohio township was released from jail on bond after being indicted for non support. He agreed to return home and obtain suitable clothes then secured work at Batavia Foundry through friends. He is now employed full time and able to support his family.

Found Dead Henry Aiker Near Olive Branch
Henry Aiker of Cincinnati who relocated to Olive Branch was found dead Friday morning on the Violet farm where he lived. A postmortem at Moore's undertaking in Batavia found death due to natural causes. The remains were then taken to Cincinnati for funeral arrangements.

Mrs. Missouri A Gregg aged about 82 dies at the Woodlief residence after months of illness. Born in Bethel in 1885 she moved to Batavia at age four and lived at the Gregg homestead. Survived by son R W C Gregg funeral at the M E church Sunday at 2 pm with burial in Union cemetery.

New Probation Officer and Deputy Clerk Named by Judge Young
On February 9 Clarence N. Young took office and named Miles Deal of Williamsburg Township as probation officer and Mrs. Marie D. Young as deputy clerk. Ohio State hosts record Farmers Week event in Columbus

Rose wins breach of promise suit in U S court
Clyde Rose of the French Bros Bauer Co Newtonsville won a breach of promise suit in Cincinnati federal court. Miss Blanche Bramwell of Fairfield Indiana had sued for 5000 dollars claiming damages after a stalled marriage plan. The jury deliberated about twenty minutes before ruling in Roses favor.

Senate House set to require night lights on vehicles
