Shoes Stolen Charge Arrested Soldier Held on Bail
William H Raines of Hillsboro a member of Co D ONG was arrested in Cincinnati by U S Marshal Counts on a complaint by Major William H Meyer for stealing a pair of marching shoes from the company and disposing of them. Gored to death by infuriated bull in farmyard tragedy
Allen Kuhns, 78, was found dead in the barnyard between Beavertown and Centerville after a bull, previously known for aggression, escaped its stall and attacked him. His son Clinton discovered the scene at 3 30 PM. the beast was later driven back to the barn as neighbors called for help.
