Two Local Teachers Succumb On Same Day

Mrs. Ruby H. Yeomans 77 of Gay Street Williamsburg died Tuesday at Cincinnati General Hospital. She taught at Goshen School for three years and is survived by a daughter and three sisters. Funeral services were held at Maham funeral home with interment in Goshen Cemetery. Mrs. Freda Hanley 65 former Mt. Orab elementary teacher died Tuesday at Holmes Hospital Cincinnati. She served 35 years in Mt. Orab schools. Services were at Mt. Orab Methodist Church with interment in Mt. Orab Cemetery. Surviving are two sons, two brothers and five grandchildren.

Goshen Firm Lands Warren County Road Contract

Goshen contractor Clemons Excavating wins a Warren County project for 0.304 mile of State Route 175 and U.S. Route 25. Work starts February 15 with erosion control on SR 75 and SR 73, finishing May 31, 1963. Construction cost about $19,137. The Ohio Department of Highways announced the schedule.

County School Superintendent Harry R Moore announces Operation Alphabet a 20 week TV series to teach reading and writing at home. The program airs 7 to 7 30 a m weekdays on WCPO TV Channel 9 beginning Feb 4 and is co sponsored by WCPO TV Community Health and Welfare Council and the Division of Adult Education Cincinnati Public Schools.
