Bethel High School held its homecoming festivities with King Roger and Queen Opal crowned. Attendants listed include Homer Rich Rubi Beker and Janice as part of the royal party.
Mrs. Ruby H. Yeomans 77 of Gay Street Williamsburg died Tuesday at Cincinnati General Hospital. She taught at Goshen School for three years and is survived by a daughter and three sisters. Funeral services were held at Maham funeral home with interment in Goshen Cemetery. Mrs. Freda Hanley 65 former Mt. Orab elementary teacher died Tuesday at Holmes Hospital Cincinnati. She served 35 years in Mt. Orab schools. Services were at Mt. Orab Methodist Church with interment in Mt. Orab Cemetery. Surviving are two sons, two brothers and five grandchildren.
The Hamlet Seventh Day Adventist Church health and welfare unit at 39 West Main St Amelia seeks donated clothing for needy Cler mont County residents. Hundreds of garments shoes bedding and utensils have been distributed. The center operates Wednesdays 10 am to 2 30 pm. contact 755-8164 or 753-5316.

County School Superintendent Harry R Moore announces Operation Alphabet a 20 week TV series to teach reading and writing at home. The program airs 7 to 7 30 a m weekdays on WCPO TV Channel 9 beginning Feb 4 and is co sponsored by WCPO TV Community Health and Welfare Council and the Division of Adult Education Cincinnati Public Schools. The Clermont County Board of Education urges eligible citizens to participate or spread the word to neighbors who need the program.
