Appraisers Set Values for Northern Clermont County Tax
Northern Clermont County land and buildings are being valued for taxation. On Friday nine appraisers and Auditor B L Ketchum toured a farm to draft value figures, to be placed on returns. Appraisers will work individually, with some townships assigning three appraisers. Tax values will be based on best judgment and belief, with $5 per day pay and a deadline of April 1. Mrs. Henry Hannaman aged 48 attempted suicide at her Cemetery road home last Friday by ingesting poison believed sheep dip and twice more with a shotgun. Her son John found her and later, after aid, she moved to a shed and shot herself but only a few pellets entered. Relatives cite distress over a missing son as motive. she is reportedly recovering.
